Our Emissions Management Approach
As YEO, we manage carbon emissions using a scientific, transparent and systematic approach. Our emissions data is calculated in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and ISO 14064 standards, using IPCC, Defra and EPA databases.
Emission data is digitally monitored and managed in an integrated manner with sustainability indicators. This data is used as one of the key indicators of our sustainability strategy and is integrated into our annual performance monitoring.
Data calculated using ISO 14064-compliant methodologies is verified through internal audit processes, ensuring high accuracy and reliability. Multi-dimensional applications such as energy efficiency, renewable energy use, resource optimisation and employee awareness are implemented to reduce emissions.

Environment, Water, Waste and Biodiversity Management
Environmental Management
At YEO, we view the environment as a value and prioritise sustainability by developing our environmental culture through technology and innovation. Our activities are based on recycling, energy efficiency and the efficient use of natural resources; we aim to minimise environmental impacts.
We regularly assess the environmental impacts of our operations, analyse the environmental aspects of new production technologies, and make the necessary updates. We develop environmentally conscious practices in processes such as project management, maintenance, procurement, office activities, storage, and shipping.
In field applications, construction methods, material transport methods and site layout are replanned as necessary to reduce waste and pollution. During site set-up, special areas are created for the safe storage of hazardous chemicals, and preventive measures are taken against leaks and spills.
This approach is part of our corporate responsibility to reduce environmental impacts, use resources efficiently, and ensure a sustainable future.
Water Management
Our activities only involve mains water consumption for office use; there is no industrial water usage. We adopt a loss-free and environmentally conscious approach to water management.
Waste Management and Zero Waste Vision
We separate our waste at source and manage recycling and disposal processes in accordance with regulations. All our processes are carried out in line with the zero waste target.
Biodiversity and Nature-Friendly Projects
We implement environmental monitoring, employee awareness, and project-based applications to protect natural life.
- İskenderun SUGES Hybrid GES project applied the AGRO GES model while protecting agricultural areas.
- Adana Sugözü Thermic Power Plant Hybrid GES site conducted agrivoltaic research for the first time in Turkey.
These projects involve flora and fauna observations, habitat monitoring, and ecological risk analyses, supporting the combination of sustainable agriculture and energy.

As YEO, we are part of the energy technologies value chain. We place sustainability at the heart of our business throughout our value chain.
We structure our supply chain processes in line with social responsibility, environmental awareness and ethical principles; we adopt a sustainability-focused approach in all our relationships with our suppliers. We shape our activities to benefit the country and the world in line with national legislation and international agreements, as well as the United Nations Global Compact and YEO Ethical Values, and integrate these principles into our corporate procurement policies.
We view our suppliers as an important part of our value chain. We establish fair and transparent communications with our suppliers and encourage them to participate in our processes.
